PD-ECGF
(= platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor)
Cytokine (471 residues) produced by platelets, fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells. Stimulates endothelial proliferation in vitro and angiogenesis in vivo. Also promotes survival and differentiation of neurons. Gliostatin is related.
